Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier advises Veolia in litigations concerning the renewal of the concession for the water supply and sanitation public service in the Nîmes Metropolitan Area
Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier advises Veolia Eau in the three interlocutory procedures concerning the renewal of the concession for the water supply and sanitation public service in the Nîmes Metropolitan Area brought by others competitors: the outgoing concessionaire, SAUR, Suez Eau and Aguas de Valencia.
On January 3, 2019, the Nîmes Metropolitan Authority awarded this 8-year contract entering into force on 1 January 2020 and of an estimated value of 220 million euros to Veolia Eau. The dismissal of the three abovementioned proceeding by the Administrative Court of Nîmes, on 19 and 20 February 2019, allowed the signature of the concession contract on 21 February 2019.
The Darrois team included Henri Savoie (partner), Patrick Mèle (counsel), Jean-Baptiste Aubert (counsel) and Guillaume Griffart (associate).
The Nîmes Metropolitan Authority was represented by UGGC Avocats in the proceedings against SAUR and Aguas de Valencia and by Briard in the proceedings against Suez Eau France.
