Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier legal advisor to Vivendi on the sale of its subsidiary GVT for EUR 7.5 billion euros

Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier advised Vivendi on the sale of 100% of GVT, its Brazilian telecommunications company, to Telefonica Brasil for an enterprise value of EUR7.5 billion.

Vivendi has received an amount in cash of EUR 4.2 billion, as well as 12% of the share capital of Telefonica Brasil. In the coming weeks, Vivendi will exchange with Telefonica 4.5% of Telefonica Brasil shares for 8.3% of the ordinary shares of Telecom Italia.

The DVMB team included Marcus Billam, Jean-Baptiste de Martigny and Ioana Nicolas.

Vivendi was also represented by Dominique Bompoint and Louis-François Guéret (Cabinet Bompoint).
