Tribute to Didier Théophile

Didier Théophile, partner of the firm, passed away on October 3, 2025, after a year of illness faced with courage and strength. He was 60 years old. The firm is deeply saddened by this loss.
Didier joined the firm in 2002 to establish the competition law practice, which he led for more than 23 years. Visionary and committed, recognized by his clients and peers as one of the most distinguished lawyers in the field, he elevated the practice to the highest level and helped make our firm a leader in competition law. He also passed on his expertise and enthusiasm to generations of lawyers.
From 2011 to 2015, he served as co-managing partner, leaving his mark on the firm with his energy, high standards, and collegial spirit.
Didier was also deeply involved in professional institutions. He served as president of the French Association of Competition Lawyers (APDC), where he played a major role in strengthening its recognition with public authorities and within the profession. He was also active in the work of the International Bar Association (IBA) and other international associations, contributing to the firm’s international reputation and building close relationships with lawyers and firms around the world.
Beyond his many accomplishments, we have lost a partner, a colleague, and a friend, admired by all, whose dedication, humanity, and strength of character made a lasting impression on those who worked with him. He was deeply attached to the firm, where he has left an enduring legacy.
Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
