Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier advises JouéClub in its takeover of over 130 La Grande Récré stores
On June 19, the French Competition Authority definitively cleared JouéClub’s takeover of over 130 La Grande Récré stores, subject to the divestment of just 6 of them. This clearance was obtained at the end of a procedure which notably involved the analysis of several hundred local catchment areas, as well as the application of the failing firm defence, enabling, in an unprecedented way, a reduction in the number of disposals required.
Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier represented JouéClub with Guillaume Aubron (partner), Flore Bastien and Amel Krideche for the proceedings before the French Competition Authority, as well as Francois Kopf (partner), Colin Marvaud (counsel) and Martin Lodéon on restructuring aspects, Olivier Huyghues Despointes (partner) on corporate/M&A aspects, and Martin Lebeuf (partner) and Maxime Garcia on financing.
Deloitte’s Economic Advisory team, led by Gildas de Muizon and Ignacio Inoa, supported the firm before the French Competition Authority.
