Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier advises KKR on the sale of its remaining interest in Tarkett
Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier advised Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) on the sale by KKR International Flooring 2 S.à.r.L. of its 10.2% stake in Tarkett, the global leader in flooring and sports surfaces.
The transaction was carried out through a private placement by way of an accelerated book building to institutional investors for a total amount of approximately 196 million euros. BNP Paribas acted as bookrunner on the transaction.
Following the placement, KKR’s will no longer hold any shares in Tarkett.The shareholders’ agreement entered into on 21 November 2013 between KKR and Société d’Investissement Deconinck with respect to the company, and the related concert, will terminate.
Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier had already advised KKR in 2006 on the acquisition of its stake in Tarkett, in 2013 on the IPO of Tarkett, and in 2016 on two placements of respectively 5.8% and 5.5% of Tarkett’s share capital.

KKR was also advised by Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP on English law aspects.
