Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier Bouygues on its €2 billion dual tranche bond issue

Paris, 2 June 2022

Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier has advised its client Bouygues S.A. (“Bouygues”) on its dual-tranche bond issuance for a total amount of €2 billion, consisting of a €1 billion tranche with a 7-year maturity and a 2.25% coupon and a €1 billion tranche with a 15-year maturity and a 3.25% coupon.

The net proceeds of the bonds will notably be used to refinance the syndicated loan contracted by the Bouygues group in December 2021 to finance the acquisition of Equans, a specialist in multi-technical services.

The bonds are admitted to trading on the regulated market of Euronext Paris.

The Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier team was led by Laurent Gautier (partner) with Romain Querenet de Breville in capital markets and Loïc Védie (partner) on tax aspects.

The bank syndicate, composed of Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking, Crédit Agricole CIB, Natixis, BNP Paribas, CIC Market Solutions, La Banque Postale, Santander Corporate & Investment Banking, BBVA, CaixaBank, CommerzBank, MUFG Securities, NatWest Markets, SMBC and UniCredit, was advised by Linklaters.
