Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier names Constance Bocket and Cécile de Narp as partners and Maxime Garcia, Guillaume Griffart, Colin Marvaud and Sophie Pagès as counsel

The partners of Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier are pleased to announce the nomination of Constance Bocket and Cécile de Narp as partners in the antitrust and the mergers & acquisitions departments respectively.

Constance Bocket, 37 years old, joined the firm in 2012 and became counsel in early 2021. She holds degrees from the College of Europe, Sciences Po Paris, and the Institute of Advanced European Studies in Strasbourg. Constance specializes in European and French competition law. Her practice primarily focuses on merger control, anticompetitive practices (cartels and abuse of dominant position), as well as state aid matters. She represents companies before competition and regulatory authorities, as well as national and European courts. Recently, Constance represented Lagardère before the European Commission in the context of Vivendi’s public takeover bid. Constance also handles both plaintiff and defendant roles in several damage claim actions that follow competition authorities’ decisions, including cases like LeGuide vs. Google, eBizcuss vs. Apple, Tech Data, and Ingram.

Cécile de Narp, 34 years old, counsel since the beginning of 2023, joined the firm’s M&A team in 2014. She advises listed and unlisted companies, public entities and investment funds. She has been involved in numerous cross-border transactions. Recently, Cécile acted for Bouygues in its tender offer on Colas, for Kering in its acquisition of Valentino, for Financière Lov in the listing of its audiovisual production and online betting activities in Amsterdam by de-SPACing, for Société Générale and ALD Automotive in their acquisition of Leaseplan and the sale of certain assets to Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance and Stellantis, and for Suez in its defence against Veolia. Cécile is a graduate of the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Maxime Garcia, Guillaume Griffart, Colin Marvaud and Sophie Pagès have also been nominated as counsel.

Maxime Garcia, 35 years old, (Bordeaux University, Maine University), joined the firm in 2021. His practice focuses primarily on acquisition finance, leveraged finance and debt restructuring. He mainly advises listed and unlisted companies, private-equity funds and financial institutions on their structured financing transactions. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in French and international business law firms, where he also developed skills in mergers and acquisitions.

Guillaume Griffart, 35 years old, (Sciences Po Paris, University Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne), joined the firm in 2015. As a member of the firm’s public law and regulatory team, he specializes in foreign investment control (FDI) and banking and financial regulation. He advises listed and unlisted companies, major banking and financial institutions and investment funds on regulatory questions related to the structuring of strategic and cross-border transactions. He also assists them in their formalities with the relevant regulatory authorities in France and abroad (ECB, ACPR and AMF – French banking and financial regulators -, French Ministry of the Economy, national authorities in charge of foreign investment control). More generally, he advises on questions of economic public law for the firm’s clients and represents them in courts.

Colin Marvaud, 36 years old, (Paris Nanterre University, Paris Dauphine University), joined the firm in 2015. He’s a member of the restructuring team and is involved in out-of-court restructuring and insolvency proceedings. He assists debtors and their shareholders in corporate restructuring and disposal transactions, as well as investors in structuring investments in underperforming companies. He was recently involved in the restructuring of the CNIM group and the takeover of the La Grande Récré network by the cooperative company JouéClub. He also assists the firm’s clients in litigation in connection with insolvency proceedings.

Sophie Pagès, 32 years old, (Paris Nanterre University, Paris Dauphine University, London School of Economics and Political Science), joined the firm in 2018 after starting her career at Baker McKenzie in Paris. She advises on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, intra-group reorganizations and real estate investment transactions. She also assists the firm’s clients in their dealings with the tax authorities, both in relation to tax rulings and tax audits.

These nominations will be effective on 1^st January 2024.
